On Waking up

Today I woke up at 5am
that's 30 mins earlier than my normal wake-up call
Reason is I'll clean Ervin's red Innova car...
And so when my fon alarm rings at 5 , I stood up and reset the alarm using another cellphone which I seldom use as alarm for your mom to wake up at 5:45am...
An hour later... after cleaning the car... your mom is still sleeping when I open our bedroom door... Apparently the alarm did not ring...

And so when I check the fon alarm... It really did not sound the alarm and later found out that I was not able to reset the day at which the alarm should sound off.... And so your mom & I rush to finish our morning routines as we would be late for work....

Just a tip in setting up wake up call alarms.... make sure to double check your gadgets or alarm clocks ... especially when it's your first time to use it....

Common sense right? But it makes sense to check it ... especially if you don't want to be late on your appointment...

On Driving

This is Dad's first tip on Driving ....

When a ball rolls across your path...
Slowdown.....A kid will surely follow that ball... prepare to step on your breaks....

To my two sons Ervin & Bonbon...

This blog is for you...

Inspired by a passage from " the prophet" which I first read several years ago when I was still in college...but never got a copy of it...until the year 2005 when your tita ella sent me one via email.....

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrows that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.
